A gentle and mostly flat route of approximately 35 km, guiding you through the historical and natural beauty of the Lecce countryside.
Starting from Lecce, the Baroque city par excellence, you will cycle towards the Church of Santa Maria d’Auria, a hidden gem nestled in the Salento countryside, surrounded by centuries-old olive trees and a peaceful atmosphere.
From there, the journey continues to the Abbey of Santa Maria di Cerrate, an ancient masterpiece of Apulian Romanesque architecture, set within a vast olive grove and now a FAI heritage site, which you will also be able to visit inside to admire its timeless beauty.
You will then continue towards the Rauccio Natural Park, a protected area characterized by a rare forest of Lecce oak trees, where you can relax while enjoying your picnic with typical local Salento products.
Finally, the route will lead you back to Lecce, concluding an excursion that harmoniously combines history, nature, and culinary culture, offering a unique experience accessible to everyone.
